The three major cities of Strasburg, Colmar and Mulhouse are worth a visit. They offer an array of monuments, museums in addition to the special charm of their historic centres.

You will also appreciate the picturesque villages along the Wine Route such as Eguisheim, Riquewihr, Mittelbergheim and many more.

The Vosges Mountains are crossed by a dense network of remarkably well marked footpaths. Along the Route des Crêtes (scenic ridge road) a number of Fermes Auberges (mountain farmhouse inns) will provide drinks, snacks, full regional meals and dairy products.

The wetland meadows of the “Ried” area around Sélestat will enchant you with their distinctive fauna and flora. You may also join a ride on a small flat-bottomed boat on the river Ill.

Simply crossing the nearby borders of Germany and Switzerland, you will be able to discover the cities of Freiburg or Basel.
